One Thousand Paper Sharks

Paper Sharks is inspired by the traditional Japanese story of folding 1,000 origami cranes (千羽鶴) in order to make one’s wish come true. Instead of cranes, Paper Sharks supporters fold origami sharks with the wish of saving sharks around the world from extinction.

One Thousand Ppaper Sharks (千匹鮫) is a personal project of mine (in addition to organizing a collaborative online collection of paper sharks submitted by visitors worldwide). Anyone interested in taking on the 1,000 paper shark challenge along with me is invited to share their story by posting a comment to this page or by contacting me. I will be happy to add your project to the site!

Thank you for your support,
